Flexible Drop-Offs on the Way Back
If your accommodation is near our return route, we may be able to stop and drop you off on the main road close to your place. This depends on the specific route we take, which is decided based on weather conditions and Aurora forecasts.
What You Should Know
Staying at Moxy Hotel, on Kvaloya, or nearby?
If you are staying on Kvaloya, including near Moxy Hotel, and the guide says we’re heading towards the coast, bring all your belongings with you as we might pass near your place on the way back.
In Tromsdalen or nearby?
For guests staying in Tromsdalen, such as Anton Jakobsens veg or Tromso Lodge & Camping, this is also relevant. If we drive inland or towards Finland, bring all your belongings so we can stop close to your place if feasible.
Why We Cannot Offer Personal Drop-Offs
While we love going the extra mile for our guests, personal drop-offs outside the city center are not possible due to the following reasons:
1. Time Impact on the Tour:
Extra stops can add 20–40 minutes to the driver’s schedule. This reduces valuable viewing time for everyone on the tour and could impact the overall experience.
2. Driver Regulations:
Our drivers are required to follow strict driving and rest regulations, ensuring both safety and professionalism. Personal drop-offs would risk violating these important rules.
3. Focus on the Northern Lights:
Every minute counts in chasing the Aurora. By avoiding extra stops, we focus entirely on reaching the best locations, giving you the highest chances of experiencing the magic of the Northern Lights.
Alternative Arrangements
If we cannot stop near your accommodation, here’s how we can help:
Taxi Assistance: Our guide will gladly help you arrange a taxi from the city center.
Late-Night Public Transport: Most buses stop running around midnight on weekdays, with only a few night buses available during weekends.
